1. Services Provided

Top Louisville Movers offers local, long-distance, residential, commercial, packing, and specialty moving services. All services are subject to availability, location constraints, and logistical feasibility. We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason deemed appropriate, including unsafe conditions or unmanageable items.

2. Estimates and Pricing

• All quotes provided are estimates only, based on information provided by the customer.

• Final pricing may vary based on:

  • Actual weight or volume of items

  • Distance traveled

  • Labor time required

  • Special handling needs (e.g., pianos, safes, antiques)

  • Use of stairs, elevators, or difficult access points

• A revised estimate may be provided before or during the move if conditions differ from what was originally disclosed.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled move to avoid a cancellation fee.

• If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the move, a cancellation fee of $100 or 10% of the quoted price (whichever is greater) may apply.

• We allow one free reschedule, subject to availability. Additional reschedules may incur an administrative fee.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

• Provide accurate information about the nature and size of the move

• Ensure all items are packed safely and securely unless using our packing services

• Be present at both the origin and destination during the move

• Ensure parking availability and legal loading/unloading zones

• Disclose all items requiring special care (e.g., fragile, heavy, hazardous)

5. Liability and Claims

• We are fully licensed and insured, but liability is limited to the coverage agreed upon before the move.

• Standard liability coverage is $0.60 per pound per item, unless additional valuation coverage is purchased.

• We are not liable for:

  • Items packed by the customer

  • Damage to furniture not disassembled properly

  • Damage caused by structural issues (e.g., loose steps, weak flooring)

  • Natural disasters or road closures affecting delivery times

• Claims for loss or damage must be made in writing within 7 days of the move.

6. Prohibited Items

We do not move or transport:

• Flammable or hazardous materials

• Perishable food or plants

• Firearms and ammunition

• Jewelry, cash, or personal documents

• Live animals or pets

Please consult with us prior to the move if you have items of concern.

7. Delays and Force Majeure

While we strive for punctuality, Top Louisville Movers is not responsible for delays due to:

• Traffic congestion

• Weather conditions

• Road closures

• Mechanical breakdowns

• Acts of God or other unforeseen circumstances

In such events, we will make every reasonable effort to notify the customer and complete the move as soon as possible.

8. Payment Terms

• Full payment is due upon completion of the move, unless prior arrangements have been made.

• Accepted payment methods include: credit/debit cards, cash, and certified checks

• A deposit may be required for large or long-distance moves

• Failure to pay may result in additional fees, withholding of items, or legal action

9. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. Personal information collected is used solely for the purpose of providing our services. We do not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties, except as required by law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Jefferson County, KY.

11. Updates to Terms

Top Louisville Movers reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of those changes.
